Factory Options
 
Thermogard Option
A real energy saver in the home! "Thermogard" will save energy through better heating and cooling as a result of air retention year round.
Inside the plywood door panel a ¾" thick glass isocyanurate foam plastic sandwiched between 1.5 mil aluminum foil facers, having an R value (aged) of 6.
Firegard Option
The fire retardant plywood door panel is chemically treated to provide slower ignition, low flame spread, lower smoke production, and has self extinguishing features (burning ceases when ignition source is removed or exhausted.) Class A, or 1, pressure treated plywood is approved by building codes throughout the US for specific applications within fire resistant buildings as an equal alternative to non-combustible construction.
Weather Stripping Option
A factory installed, bulb type weather-stripping seals the framed opening and door panel to reduce air leaks and lower your energy costs. This weather-stripping along with our Thermogard option meets or exceeds energy code requirements. These options can be applied to any our stairs when ordered direct from the factory.

Stairway sections, treads, and frame are constructed of nominal size 1"x4" Southern Yellow Pine. Treads have 10½" rise. Molded wood handrail included. "A" grade door panel, completely framed for added rigidity. Steel rods under each tread binding each section. Concealed main hinge. Adjustable spring tension.
